Xtra-Guard 4 (ADV) Cable

An Xtreme Environment calls for an Xtreme Cable

When choosing a cable for use in an environment with extreme temperatures like a desert or arctic region, it is important to find a cable that is guaranteed to work.  Picking the proper cable reduces unnecessary replacements and avoids downtime.

When dealing with extreme temperature applications, there are usually other factors that need to be planned for.  For example, a cable designed to be used on a tank in combat in a desert would have to be able to handle sunlight & oil.  Oil and sunlight can degrade cable jackets quickly, so it is important to choose the right materials.

Our Xtra-Guard 4 thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) insulation and jacket is perfect for harsh environments.  It can handle temperatures from -50C to +125C while also offering a flexible jacket for easy routing.  It is also oil, solvent and water resistant, making it suitable for installation in more challenging environments.  Lastly, it passes the UL 1685 Vertical Tray Flame test and is approved by the US Mine Safety and Health Administration, so you know you are getting a safe & reliable cable.
