Xtra Guard 4 300V Now RoHS Compliant

The Alpha Wire portfolio requires regular maintenance to ensure our products continue to offer the most updated features and benefits, in addition to the highest quality. As you are aware, there are many reasons which cause a product to require a change or to reach an end-of-life status. These reasons include when products mature and are replaced by new technology, changing industry standards, lack of demand from the market, significant changes in the product itself, or the technology has come to a point where it is no longer cost effective.

In an effort to continually offer the highest performing products in the most environmentally-friendly way possible, Alpha Wire is proud to announce that our 300V Xtra-Guard® 4 products are now offered with a 100% RoHS compliant insulation and jacket material. This change will go into effect as of today. As a result of this enhancement, please be aware that the UL AWM Recognition for unshielded cables will change from Style 20237 to 21916. Shielded cables will continue to be UL AWM Recognized under Style 20237, but will additionally be recognized to Style 21918 which also allows for a Sunlight Resistance approval. A list of all affected part numbers can be found on the following pages.
